How do you find a Certified Flight Instructor, or commonly called a CFI?

1. You could ask a friend who flies if they can recommend a flight instructor for you.
2. You go to the local airport and ask around.
3. You look in your local phone directory.
4. You could look in flight training and aviation magazines.
5. You could click here!

The problem is, your friend may only know a couple of local instructors and may not have trained with any of them.
The people at the local airport may only think in terms of a flying school with a vested interested in their school, not YOUR interests, but there are many free lance instructors who teach independently of schools. These are usually people who instruct because they genuinely enjoy teaching, not because they have to teach.
A free lance instructor who instructs part time or even full time may not have a big budget for traditional advertising, so students never hear about them.

LouisianaAviation.com provides a listing of ALL instructors in an area*

We are able to provide this information to the prospective student by offering free listings to instructors. And by offering very affordable advertising that every instructor can afford. Click here for the instructor database.

*All the listed instructors in our database are added by request without bias.
Information contained on each instructor that is entered into our database is not verified by www.LouisianaAviation.com and is the student's responsibility to do so.
